Hi I was changed from Metformin to the above medication. My bloods have been awful. I got up this morning on an 8 & 2hrs after evening meal……15!!!
What do I do? Thanks in advance for all your advice. Have been taking new pills for 3 weeks. Metformin was literally making me poo myself but my bloods were better I feel. Last a1c 45. I’m type 2. X.

All you can really do medication-wise is tell whoever is prescribing the Sitagliptin about these high readings and ask for an urgent review.

If I was getting readings as high as 15 (currently maxing out at 13) I'd want to keep an eye on my ketones if possible and watch out for any symptoms of DKA just in case.

NHS website says call 111 if you start feeling unwell.
